Director of Strategy and Innovation
Software Full-Time CA
The position
Artium is a technology innovation consultancy. We partner with clients to build software products and high-functioning teams by deploying small teams of highly skilled US-based consultants alongside our client’s teams.
Our goal for those engagements is to build world-class software with our clients and endow them with the internal capabilities they need to build software using agile and lean best practices long after our initial engagement is over.
Responsibilities
- Solid understanding of development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and QA processes.
- Experienced in developing test plans, building tools and test frameworks.
- Experienced in writing, triaging, and debugging automation scripts, as well as test harness enhancement, primarily focused on UI applications.
- Automation/coding experience in Python, Swift, or similar languages.
- Skilled at debugging, troubleshooting, and critical thinking on bug prioritization.
- Experience with cross-functional projects.
- A great teammate with the ability to act as a mentor and peer leader.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Requirements
You want to help technology leaders capture new opportunities, solve their team’s problems and build products that will define our future.
You should have a strong network of engineering, product, and business leaders especially those focused in the New York City market, that have the budget and ambition to hire the highest standard of outside help.
You love meeting new people and know where to find them. When you reach out, they’re thrilled to hear from you.
You partner internally and externally. You know your delivery team is the key ingredient and secret to your success, and take great care of them, as well as your clients.
You’re willing to put in the work to help us continue to build and scale Artium. You’re comfortable and excited to participate in new client business development, marketing, drafting and executing contracts, partnering with delivery for an exceptional client experience, and internal solution development and process improvement – and consider yourself an expert in at least a few of these areas.
Benefits & compensation
You’ll find, grow, and manage $6 million in client projects in the first year and will set them up to be wildly successful. Your expectations should be to build and grow your book of business at a high rate year over year.
You’ll serve and grow your network, discover and solve their problems, make them successful, and help them gain recognition.
You’ll find new partnerships working with startups, scale-ups, and established enterprise companies.
You’ll work with an accomplished group of software developers, product managers, and designers spread across the country, with hubs in NY, LA, SF, Chicago, and Denver, who are deeply committed to client and engagement success.
- You have an established network of enterprise and startup technology leaders, especially in the New York City area, and you have the ability to utilize that network for new business opportunities at Artium.
- You feel comfortable presenting strategic solutions for six and seven-figure deals that rely on a highly consultative sales approach.
- You are collaborative. You earn the trust of the engineers, designers, and product managers doing the work.
- You have a good understanding of how great software teams are organized.
- You have experience selling professional services, ideally in the technology space.
- You value long-term relationships and want to build client relationships that last.
- You can own a sale end-to-end – network, source leads, qualify the buyer, build the proposal (in partnership with a graphic designer), win the deal, negotiate terms (both price and terms), and close it out for the win!
- You want to be a central part of scaling a world-class digital consultancy and have experience and a point of view on how to do that successfully.
We’re proud of the company and culture we’re building at Artium, and we want you to get to know our Team while we get to know you. As a way to introduce yourself to the Artium team, in lieu of a cover letter, we’d love to get your perspective on one of the topics that we care about at Artium, such as:
- We strive to build the best products with our clients, but we also strive to provide the best possible experience of working with a consultancy – for our employees and our clients. Danny Meyer, the famed NYC restaurateur, in his book Setting the Table, discusses the concept of Enlightened Hospitality. How would you create a sense of hospitality as part of Artium?
- There are countless methodologies for how to build great software. At our core, Artium believes that great software needs to be aligned with business objectives, it needs to work, and it needs to show value quickly. One of our most critical frameworks is Extreme Programming or XP. What software development, product development, or design methodologies are you familiar with? How do you approach clients when they have adopted methodologies that differ from what you and your team are most comfortable working within?
- Within Artium we’re always growing, iterating, and innovating. We’re focused on building the next great digital consultancy, but we also understand that every new Artisan is going to come with a set of experiences, skills, and beliefs that will help us evolve and make us better. What special skills, capabilities, or superpowers would you bring to the Artium team?
- A chance to play a leading role in building a company with unicorn ambitions and founders that have helped build multi-billion dollar companies in the past.
- The opportunity to help build the New York City region from a handful of customers to a major player.
- An OTE of $310,000 – $465,000
- Full coverage of Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance for you and your family.
- 401k contributions to invest in your future.
- Subscriptions to services like: Headspace, Spotify, Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+ .
Artium is growing very fast. Not sure the above sounds exactly like you but you’re still interested in joining us? We’d love to hear from you! Reach out to talent@thisisartium.com with your resume and a note about what you think you can add to our teams.
