The position

Responsibilities

  • Work with product managers, development managers and stakeholders to elaborate on business requirements and implement solutions including code development and testing.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and software engineering to achieve common goals.
  • Follow common sustainable web application design, management, and development methodologies.
  • Demonstrated mastery in database concepts through technically accurate representation of functionally meaningful data.
  • Experience working in an AGILE environment.
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex topics into intuitive and generalizable taxonomies.
  • Demonstrated mastery of large-scale database implementations and design patterns.
  • Experience developing ETL processes.
  • Foundational knowledge and eagerness to expand skills in SQL.
  • Proven ability to work with stakeholders to define requirements and a clear understanding of data-generative processes.
  • Ensure high quality solutions by implementing unit, integration, and acceptance tests where appropriate.
  • Developing accessible solutions across the platform.
  • Writing tests for your work.

Requirements

  • Responsible for translating functional requirements and processes into scaled solutions through logical implementation of code (e.g., SQL, python)
  • Responsible for data modeling and schema design that will range across multiple business domains within higher education.
  • Partner with multiple stakeholders including clients, new product development, BI engineers to develop scalable standard schemas.
  • Work with clients to research and conduct business information flow studies.
  • Codify high-performing SQL for efficient data transformation
  • Coordinate work with external teams to ensure a smooth development process.
  • Support operations by identifying, researching and resolving performance and production issues.
  • Expert at time management as well as working & finding answers to questions independently.
